The World Fireworks Championship

For the past few months I've been digging about on the World Fireworks Championship. The website has an impending update, which will hopefully unveil all the details. So far, it is being billed as the largest fireworks competition on Earth and will be held in the Middle East (see Wikipedia article).

It's become my personal mission to uncover all the final details so check back on this blog for the updates :)

Until then, keep an eye on www.wfchampionship.com

Tasty Treats Ahoy!

Bristol welcomes the arrival of Europe's largest organic food festival on the 11th-12th September 2010 at the Harbourside. Personally, as a pasty fan, I'm keen to see what's on offer from the Westcountry bakers. However, I'm reliably informed that the whole site will be filled with stalls and tents offering up the very finest in organic produce.

And if that's not enough to tempt you, Monty Don is in the house!!

Pentille Pasty Trail Leads to New Adventures

Whilst off looking for the ultimate pasty the other weekend I stumbled upon a delightful country estate near St Mellion, in beautiful Cornwall.

Would certainly recommend a little visit to Pentille Castle, if not for it's scenic views across the River Lynher Valley, then for it's gruesome tales of Lord Pentille's Mausoleum!

Oh, and the pasties were devine ;)
